Laser vein therapy is a modern procedure for the treatment of leg veins. At The Vein Institute at Germantown Aesthetics, we utilize an advanced long pulse laser to treat veins with pulses of highly concentrated green light. The beam's color is significant in that the color of a particular laser is key to its effect on spider veins, since certain colors of light are absorbed by specific colors in the skin's pigmentation. The laser's light energy seals the vein shut allowing the now diminished vein to be reabsorbed by the body, rendering it nearly invisible. The pulses of light are also unique in that they are adjustable for duration, thus minimizing bruising.
