With laser rejuvenation, a laser is used
to remove areas of damaged or wrinkled skin, layer by layer. The
procedure is most commonly used to minimize the appearance of fine
lines, especially around the mouth and the eyes. However, it is
also effective in treating facial scars or areas of uneven pigmentation.
Laser rejuvenation may be performed on the whole face or in specific
regions.

BLU-U Blue Light:
This light
technology when used in conjunction with aminolevulenic acid
(ALA) & laser is very effective for treating acne, actinic
keratoses, stubborn warts, and sebaceous hyperplasia.
How these treatments
work:
Bacteria which cause acne are rich in a natural chemical called
a “porphyrin”. Certain porphyrins will liberate molecular
oxygen when exposed to a special blue light. These blue light treatments
are effective for mild and moderate acne. They are 10 – 15
minute long treatments and must be repeated twice a week for four
weeks.
The treatments can be “supercharged”
by adding ALA. This painlessly applied clear liquid will
increase porphyrins in the bacteria and in the sebaceous (oil) glands
causing the blue light or laser to be even more effective against
these causes of acne. With the addition of ALA the patient will
require as few as two or three treatments. These treatments also
literally erase some skin cancers and precancerous lesions.
Medlite C6: A safe and effective way to remove unwanted tattoos.
This laser removes tattoo ink with the energy of light. The
tattoo ink is removed by using a specific wavelength of light which
passes into the skin, but is absorbed by the tattoo ink. The
rapid absorption of light energy causes the tattoo ink to break into
tiny particles which can then be removed by the body's natural
filtering systems. The Medlite laser provides maximum tattoo
removal while leaving the surrounding skin unharmed.
Alexandrite Laser
by Cynosure: Special long pulse allows safe and effective treatment of benign
pigmented lesions as well as hair removal for all skin types.
